Science – Atoms and Bonding

This chemistry lesson is about atoms and bonding. We will first describe the structure of an atom, subatomic particles (protons, neutrons and electrons) and why some atoms are more stable than others. We will then study how atoms form chemical bonds to make molecules and how to balance chemical equations. Finally we will discuss a group of chemical compounds called hydrocarbons, how they are used to make plastics and their impact on the environment.
