Biology – Genetic Crosses and Evolution

19.99

This course is an Annual Subscription.

Evolution is how species slowly change over time and in the middle of the 19th century, biology was transformed when two English naturalists, Charles Darwin and Alfred Russel Wallace, independently worked out just how evolution works. Around the same time, a Czechoslovakian monk, Gregor Mendel, began to work out the laws of inheritance – how traits are passed on from one generation to the next. Building on what Mendel discovered, we can now work out the traits of the potential offspring between a couple of any species, using a method called a genetic cross.

In this lesson we will cover Higher Level Leaving Cert Biology Genetic Crosses and Evolution. This lesson will cover:

  • Genetic Variation
  • Evolution
  • Heredity
  • Normal Dihybrid Crosses
  • Different Crosses
  • Exam Questions

With lessons, tests, hotspots, games and interactive videos, improve your knowledge of Biology in the topic of Genetic Crosses and Evolution!
