Financial Maths Junior Cert – Open

In this lesson we will cover both ordinary and higher level junior cert financial maths.

We will cover the following:

• VAT
• Household bills
• Currency exchange
• Percentage profit and loss
• Mark-up and Margin (Higher Level)
• Interest (including compound interest)
• Depreciation (Higher Level)
• Income tax

There is a presentation of slides on financial maths for students to view.

There are also detailed tutorial videos where students are guided through the correct solutions to past paper questions. There are separate videos for ordinary and higher level.

Students can test their understanding of this topic with either the ordinary or higher level quiz on financial maths.
